PHOENIX (AP) -The Boston Red Sox activated right-hander Mike Timlin from the 15-day disabled list Friday night.
Timlin, who has missed 34 games with tendinitis in his right shoulder, is 1-0 with a 6.23 ERA.
To make room for Timlin, the Red Sox designated lefty J.C. Romero for assignment. Romero was 1-0 with a 3.15 ERA in 23 relief appearances for Boston this season.
