New York Yankees DFS Spin
Luke Voit crushed a solo homer in the Yankees’ victory over the Rays on Thursday in Game 4 of the ALDS. Voit finally has his first homer of the postseason after leading baseball with 22 round-trippers in the regular season. it was a no-doubter; a solo shot off of Ryan Thompson on a cement-mixer breaking ball that gave New York a 1-0 lead. Voit was moved down to the five spot on Thursday behind the red-hot Giancarlo Stanton, and it seems likely he hits in that spot again in Game 5 on Friday.
Tampa Bay Rays DFS Spin
Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports that the Rays will start Tyler Glasnow on Friday in Game 5 against the Yankees. Kevin Cash told reporters that this is an “all-hands-on-deck” approach, and this certainly qualifies. Glasnow will be working on just two days of rest after striking out 10 over six innings in Game 2 on Tuesday. It seems likely that Glasnow will only be allowed to go through the lineup at a turn at most, and then the Rays can turn to Blake Snell on three-days rest or anyone else. The Rays will be going up against Gerrit Cole.
Yankees vs. Rays Game 5 Betting Prediction
The Yankees are 11-4 in their last 15 games following a win, are 4-1 in their last five games when favored and have won five of their last seven divisional playoff games. They’re also 46-18 in their last 64 games after allowing two runs or less in their previous contest and are 36-16 in their last 52 playoff games when favored. The Rays, meanwhile, are just 5-11 in their last 16 Divisional round playoff games and are winless in their last four tries when playing the fifth game of a series.
