Will the Cardinals suffer back-to-back losses to the Brewers when the NL Central rivals clash at 8:10PM ET again tonight?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cardinals are -111 money line favorites to beat the Brewers, who have +101 odds to pull off the upset. With Adam Wainwright set to face Wily Peralta in the pitching matchup, the over/under for tonight’s game sits at 8.5 runs.

Wainwright is now winless at 0-3 in his first three starts of the season. He allowed four runs on 10 hits over 4 2/3 innings of work last Sunday night against the Yankees and now owns a 7.24 ERA on the season. Walks have been a problem thus far for the veteran (six over 13 2/3 innings of work), as has everything else. Wainwright just isn’t fooling hitters anymore.
Peralta is a perfect 3-0 on the season after allowing two runs on three hits across six innings of work versus the Reds on Sunday. He enters play tonight having allowed just five earned runs over 17 innings of work and now owns a 2.65 ERA to go along with a 1.03 WHIP. After struggling a year ago, Peralta has been a pleasant surprise for the Brewers.
Bet Tonight’s Cardinals vs. Brewers Game
OUR PICK: Following their loss last night in Milwaukee, the Cardinals are now winless in their last four road games. They’re also just 1-4 in Wainwright’s last five road starts versus a team with a winning record and are 2-11 in their last 13 games when facing a starter that owns a WHIP less than 1.15. The Cardinals have had plenty of success versus Peralta (0-7 in last seven starts versus St. Louis and 0-6 in his last six home starts versus the Cards), but Mike Matheny’s team is struggling as a whole. Plus, Wainwright has been smacked around in nearly every one of his starts, which is a troubling sign tonight against Milwaukee’s upstart lineup.
