Jake Burger hit a game-winning grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning on Sunday to lift the White Sox past the Tigers. Maybe the walk-off grand slam isn’t quite as dramatic in a situation in which a sac fly would have won it, but it’s still awfully cool. It was Burger’s 12th homer in 145 plate appearances this season. Incredibly, the 27-year-old didn’t start any of the White Sox’s previous three games. Gavin Sheets was used as a DH ahead of him in the previous two, even though Burger has better numbers than Sheets against right-handers this season.
New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Aaron Judge told reporters after Sunday’s victory over the Dodgers that he’ll undergo additional testing on his right big toe on Monday. It sounds like there’s at least some concern that Judge could have a broken big toe — which would obviously send him to the injured list for a while. The Yankees are off on Monday, but pay close attention to the news coming out of New York as the reigning American League MVP could wind up being shelved for at least a few weeks. All fantasy managers can do at this stage is wait and hope for the best.
