Jeff Samardzija was a key part to the Giants’ decision to rebuild their starting rotation this offseason. His ERA ballooned to over 7.00 this spring but he did turn in his best outing when he limited the Cubs to two runs in six innings on March 27.
Taylor Jungmann, who will start for the Brewers this afternoon, had a rough spring as well. He posted a 5.71 ERA after registering a 3.77 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP across 119 1/3 innings in 2015.

Dating back to last season, the Brewers have won four out of Jungmann’s last five home starts. With the way Samardzija struggled this spring, Milwaukee is a decent play today as an underdog.
