MLB Betting Trends
San Diego
The Padres are 4-1 in their last five road games. San Diego is 2-10 in its last 12 game threes of a series.
Miami
The Marlins are 3-9 in their last 12 games overall. Miami is 4-1 in the last five Smith home starts.
Prediction:
Miami’s offense stinks against good pitching and my gut tells me Lamet is going to find his groove in this contest. While Smith is tough to hit as well, I think he gives up a homer or two to the right-handed power hitters of the Padres. That could be the difference in what looks like it will be a low-scoring affair.
