Aaron Nola gave up three homers in six innings, allowing five total runs in a no-decision against the Braves. The Braves rudely greeted Nola in the first inning with a two-run shot by Austin Riley. Nola was up to the task in striking out the side after the first two men reached in the third and Ronald Acuna took third on a double steal, which kept things from totally spiraling out of control. But Riley took him deep again so Nola left with a deficit — it was the first time all season Nola allowed multiple homers in a start. He has a 4.59 ERA on a 1.12 WHIP after 11 starts. New York Mets DFS SPIN
Carlos Carrasco limited the Cubs to one run in 6 2/3 innings for a victory Thursday. It’s Carrasco’s first win in five starts this year. He gave up a homer to Dansby Swanson in the first tonight, but it turned out to be the Cubs’ lone run of the game. Carrasco will take a 6.75 ERA into his next start against the Phillies.
