Brewers shut out Cubs
After Chicago won the first game of the series in extra innings, Milwaukee rebounded with two straight wins including a 1-0 triumph yesterday to move its NL Central lead to 1.5 games. Jhoulys Chacin is now 6-1 with a 3.32 ERA after tossing six shutout innings. He gave up four hits, struck out seven and walked three. Corey Knebel picked up his sixth save as he struck out two in a perfect ninth. Lorenzo Cain provided the offense as he went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the bottom of the third inning plus a walk.
Phillies win finale over Rockies
Vincent Velasquez had a no-hitter through six innings Thursday afternoon, giving up two earned runs on one hit with six strikeouts and two walks over 6 2/3 innings in a 9-3 win. Rhys Hoskins was 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs to pace the offense. Odubel Herrera was 2-for-5 with a run. Carlos Santana finished 2-for-4 with a run. Nick Williams was 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two RBIs. Andrew Knapp finished 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.

MLB Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The over is 7-3-2 in Arrieta’s last 12 starts overall. Philadelphia is 2-6 in Arrieta’s last eight starts.
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 18-6 in their last 24 home games. The under is 7-3 in the last 10 Milwaukee games overall.
Prediction:
Milwaukee had yesterday off and remains at home, so they will be the more well-rested team. Arrieta has looked hittable as of late, while the Phillies offense has been inconsistent. Since Philadelphia had a big offensive effort yesterday, it will probably go cold against Suter today. Take Milwaukee here.
