From Rotoworld: Darvish was fantastic in his Dodgers debut Friday, tossing seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in a 6-0 victory over the Mets. If Darvish was tipping his pitches, the Mets didn’t pick up on it. The newly-acquired right-hander gave up three hits (all of them singles) while walking just one batter. He struck out the side in his final frame. It was a heck of a debut, and an encouraging bounceback performance after he gave up a career-high 10 runs last time out. This was his first win since way back on June 12. It appears that Darvish and the National League are going to get along just fine.
Banda will make another start for the Diamondbacks on Thursday against the Dodgers. Banda pitched well in his second major league start last Friday against the Giants, yielding just one run on three hits over six innings to earn his first career win. The 23-year-old left-hander was ranked a top-100 prospect by Baseball America leading into the 2017 season. He’s filling in for Robbie Ray, who remains sidelined with a concussion.
