CURRENT ODDS
According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Yankees are -144 money line favorites to beat the Blue Jays, who have odds of +130 to pull off the upset. As for the total, it currently sits at 9 runs.
LINE MOVEMENT
New York opened as -145 money line favorites but its line dropped slightly to -144, while the Blue Jays went from +125 up to +130. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 9 and that’s where the number currently sits.
PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
As of this writing, 73% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks on today’s game are on the Yankees to win on the money line. Meanwhile, 69% of the betting tickets are on the under.
OUR PREDICTION
Giancarlo Stanton already made a huge impact for the Bombers, going 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in the club’s 6-1 win over the Blue Jays on Opening Day. Sanchez was excellent this spring but he’s facing the most dangerous lineup in baseball this evening. Meanwhile, Tanaka wasn’t sharp this spring, as he posted a 7.24 ERA. I think the Blue Jays will contribute more offensive today than they did yesterday and push the total over.
FRIDAY MLB PREDICTION: YANKEES/BLUE JAYS OVER 9
