Rockies vs. Royals Pick
Will the Colorado Rockies avoid another loss on the road to the Kansas City Royals when the two meet up tonight at 8:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kansas City is favored at home, as the Royals are getting odds of -130 to win. The Rockies are getting a money line of +120 to win, while the over/under total has been set at 9 runs.

The pitching matchup tonight has Antonio Senzatela (10-4, 4.56 ERA) on the mound for the Rockies to face Ian Kennedy (4-9, 5.06) of the Royals. Kennedy has allowed at least three runs in his last four starts. He has 105 strikeouts on the year with 49 walks and a 1.27 WHIP. Senzatela has been in relief in his last few outings, pitching four scoreless innings. This year, he has 89 strikeouts with 39 walks and a 1.24 WHIP.
These two opened their series on Tuesday night when the Royals picked up a 3-2 victory at home. This was their first meeting since 2014. Colorado is 68-57 on the season and 30-32 on the road while Kansas City is 63-61 overall and 34-29 at home.
The Royals established a 3-0 lead on Tuesday and then held off the Rockies late. Danny Duffy pitched six innings and allowed just two runs to get his eighth win of the season. Jon Gray took the loss after allowing three runs in 6.2 innings. Salvador Perez had two hits and drove in a run to lead the Royals while Eric Hosmer also drove in a run. Colorado was led by Nolan Arenado, who drove in a pair of runs on his 28th home run of the season. He now has 107 RBI this year.
The Royals were able to edge out the Rockies on Tuesday night, but I still like the Rockies in this series. Colorado has the much more consistent hitting and that starting pitching is comparable. Kennedy has not been a pitcher that KC can count on this season. Senzatela has actually been able to put together some decent outings. I think he will get a lot of run support tonight and avoid getting hammered by the Royals.
