From Rotoworld: Perdomo surrendered five runs on seven hits over six innings in Wednesday’s loss to the Twins. Perdomo ran into trouble in the second inning, when opposite number Ervin Santana jumped him for a two-run single, with Eduardo Escobar doing likewise later in the frame to give the Twins an early 4-0 advantage. Miguel Sano later polished off the scoring on his line with a solo home run. On the afternoon, Perdomo struck out four and walked two. He will carry a bloated 4.92 ERA and 1.54 WHIP into a road showdown with the Reds next time he takes to the mound.
Romano allowed eight hits and four runs over six innings in Thursday’s loss to the Pirates. Romano was bled slowly, as only one of the Pirates’ eight hits went for extra bases, a double by Starling Marte. Romano also did well to not allow a walk, striking out three. The 23-year-old has been passable if underwhelming in six starts, posting a 4.88 ERA and 1.63 WHIP. He’ll next take on the Padres on Tuesday.
