From Rotoworld: Straily allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Braves on Saturday. Straily was spotless through five but ran into trouble in the sixth when a single, stolen base, RBI single and RBI double ended his night. It was also enough to saddle him with his fourth consecutive loss, dropping his record to 7-8. Despite that, he owns a more attractive 3.77 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 118/36 K/BB ratio on the year. A tough matchup with the Nationals is up next on Thursday.
Roark held the Cubs to two runs across 6 1/3 innings of work in a 4-2 win Friday. Roark held the Cubbies off the scoreboard for the first six innings before he gave up a Kyle Schwarber double and Javier Baez home run in the seventh. Still, it was a nice effort even if his day ended with a whimper. He walked three but allowed just five hits on the day while striking out four. Roark has rebounded from a rough June with a 3.38 ERA and 30 strikeouts over 29 1/3 frames since the beginning of July. He faces the Marlins next.

On the other side, the Nationals are 41-20 in their last 61 games during the fourth game of a series, are 5-1 in Roark’s last six starts coming off five days of rest, and are 7-2 in his last nine outings coming off a quality start in his last appearance.
