According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the A’s are +105 money line underdogs to win tonight at home, while the Yankees are -125 money line favorites. With Jordan Montgomery set to face Sonny Gray in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

Montgomery pitched seven innings and allowed two runs Friday in a win over the Orioles. Monthomery struck out eight in his second straight impressive outing. He’s a flyball pitcher in Yankee Stadium, so he only has so much upside when it comes to ERA. Still, he has a strong strikeout rate and the control is likely to get better. He remains more of a streaming option than an every-week play in mixed leagues.

Gray allowed five runs — two earned — in six innings despite punching out 10 batters against the Rays on Saturday. Gray’s own throwing error accounted for two of the unearned runs. He surrendered nine hits and one walk in the ballgame. He has a 4.37 ERA with 47 strikeouts and 14 walks in 47 1/3 innings through eight starts.

Bet Tonight’s Yankees vs. A’s Game

OUR PREDICTION: The Yankees have dropped four of Montgomery’s last five outings following a Quality Start in his last appearance and are 2-5 in their last seven road games versus a team with a losing record. On the other side, the A’s are 4-1 in Gray’s last five starts scoring five runs or more in their previous game and 9-4 in his last 13 home starts versus a team with a winning record.
