From Rotoworld: Miranda allowed one run with no hits and six walks and five strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision Tuesday against Houston. Miranda threw 65 of his 112 pitches for strikes in the quality start, his first since July 28 at home against the Mets. Walks have haunted Miranda lately, as he has issued 17 free passes across the past 24 2/3 innings. As such, the left-hander has just one victory across his past 11 outings dating back to June 30.
Hamels allowed five runs — four earned — in six innings and was hit with a loss against the Braves on Wednesday. He pitched really well except for one horrific inning. He struck out five batters against two walks and six base hits. Four of those hits, along with a walk, a hit batsman and an error (on Hamels) led to all five runs scoring in the second inning. The long-time National Leaguer did manage to help himself by driving in a run in the interleague contest. He falls to 9-3 with a 4.03 ERA in 19 starts. His 5.74 K/9 is by far the weakest of his 12-year career.
Bet Tonight’s Mariners vs. Rangers Game
