Wednesday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – With less than 10 games remaining in the regular season, check out the opening odds for Wednesday’s MLB action.
In what could have a huge impact on the AL East standings, the Yankees will host the Rays in a double header at 1:05PM ET and 7:05PM ET. Oddsmakers have yet to release the odds for either game, but according to latest MLB trends the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams and 5-1 in James Shields’ last six starts against the Yankees.
Josh Beckett and the Red Sox will host the Orioles at 7:10PM ET. Oddsmakers have installed visiting Baltimore as a +250 money line underdog while the Red Sox are massive –300 money line favorites for tonight’s game. The over/under total is currently sitting at 9.5 runs.
Speaking of the Diamondbacks (-190), they’ll try to get back on track when they host the Pirates (+180) again at 3:40PM ET. Pittsburgh is +180 on the ML while Arizona is –190, as the Pirates are 7-2 in their last nine games against the Diamondbacks but 6-13 in their last 19 road games against the D-Backs.
The Giants blew a massive opportunity to earn a game on the Diamondbacks in the NL West when they lost to the Dodgers 2-1 on Tuesday night. They’re in Los Angeles again tonight at 10:10PM ET, as oddsmakers have installed the Giants as +100 money line underdogs. The Dodgers are –110 on the ML, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 7 runs.
