Wednesday Opening MLB Odds
(The Spread) – The opening odds and totals are out for Wednesday’s MLB action, including Game 3 of the Windy City Showdown.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made the White Sox –185 money line favorites over the Cubs, who are +175 for Wednesday’s game. The over/under total for tonight’s contest opened at 8.5 runs.
After losing to the Cubs 6-3 on Monday, the Sox came back on Tuesday and won, 3-2. Paul Konerko hit his 21st home run of the year and finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI.
In the only National League game on the schedule, the Phillies are –150 money line favorites over the Cardinals, who are +140. According to latest MLB trends, the under is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings in St. Louis and 4-0-1 in the last five meetings overall. The Phillies are also 1-5 in their last six games in St. Louis and 1-5 in their last six games against the Cardinals overall.
Even though they crushed the Giants on Tuesday night, the Twins opened as +130 on the money line for Wednesday’s game. San Francisco, which allowed eight runs in the first inning on Tuesday, is –140 tonight at 10:10PM ET.
After a rainout on Tuesday, the host Reds are –105 on the money line against the visiting Yankees, who are also –105 on Wednesday. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams.
