Wednesday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Several divisional series wrap up on Wednesday in MLB. Check out the opening odds and totals for all of today’s baseball action.
After they were destroyed 14-2 on Tuesday, the Marlins will have one more crack at the Phillies on Wednesday in Florida. Facing a sweep, the Fish have opened as –120 money line favorites over visiting Philadelphia, which is +110 on the ML according to online sports book Bodog.
The Reds are also facing the possibility of being swept by a divisional foe after losing two straight to the Cardinals. Cincinnati (+110) will send Bronson Arroyo to the hill on Wednesday against Jake Westbrook and host St. Louis (-120).
The Blue Jays (+110) and Red Sox (-120) will play the rubber match of their three-game series on Wednesday. According to latest MLB trends, the over is 6-1 in the last eight meetings between these two teams and 3-1-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Boston. That said, the under is 20-7-2 in Tim Wakefield’s last 29 starts against Toronto.
In one of the non-divisional games, the Braves (-190) will host the Rockies (+178) again at 7:10PM ET. Aaron Cook will oppose Jair Jurrjens (11-3, 1.89 ERA), who has been unstoppable this season.
