Wednesday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Here are your opening odds and totals for Wednesday’s MLB action, highlighted by a great pitching matchup out West.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made the Giants -130 money line favorites over the visiting Dodgers, who are +120 on the ML. Today’s pitching matchup will feature Tim Lincecum versus Clayton Kershaw, making it one of the more intriguing battles of the day. The Giants are 5-0 in Lincecum’s last five home starts against the Dodgers and 8-2 in his last 10 starts overall against L.A.
In other action, the Rockies are +105 money line home underdogs against the visiting Braves, who are –115 on the ML. According to latest MLB trends, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams, 3-0-1 in Tim Hudson’s last four starts against the Rockies and 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Colorado.
Switching leagues, David Price and the Rays are –140 money line favorites against the visiting Yankees, who are +130 on the ML. The Rays are 4-0 in Price’s last four home starts against the Yankees and 5-2 in his last seven starts overall against the Bombers.
Also in the American League, the Rangers are +125 money line underdogs against the host Angels, who are –135 on the ML with Dan Haren on the hill. The under is 3-0-1 in Haren’s last four starts versus the Rangers and 13-5-4 in the last 22 meetings between these two teams overall.
