Monday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The opening odds and totals for Monday’s MLB games are out. Check out the lines and trends for today’s action.
The Arizona Diamondbacks are the hottest team in baseball right now and will put their current six-game winning streak on the line when they host the Colorado Rockies at 9:40PM ET. The D-backs are –165 money line favorites versus their NL West rivals the Rockies, who are +155 on the ML. Colorado is 2-7 in their last nine road games against Arizona and 1-5 in its last six games overall versus the Diamondbacks.
In the American League, the White Sox are currently on a three-game winning streak and are trying to get back into the AL Central race. The Sox are –205 money line favorites versus Minnesota (+187) tonight at 8:10PM ET, and are 5-2 in Mark Buehrle’s last seven home starts against the Twins.
The Reds will put their four-game winning streak on the line versus the Phillies at 7:10PM ET tonight. Philadelphia will send Cole Hamels to the hill against Homer Bailey and the Reds, who are +135 money line underdogs. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams while the Phillies are 9-0 in Hamel’s last nine starts against the Reds.
According to latest MLB trends, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between the Tigers and Royals, 4-0 in Max Scherzer’s last four starts against the Royals and 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Detroit. The Tigers are –165 money line favorites versus the Royals tonight at 7:05PM ET, while KC is +155.
