Friday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The opening odds for Friday’s MLB games are out. Check out the lines and totals for all of tonight’s action.
One of the oldest rivalries in baseball will be renewed today when the Chicago Cubs host the St. Louis Cardinals at 2:20PM ET. Oddsmakers have made the visiting Cardinals –145 money line favorites versus the Cubs, who are +135 home underdogs. St. Louis is 6-1 in its last seven games versus the Cubs and 5-2 in its last seven road games against Chicago.
Staying in the NL, Derek Lowe and the Braves will host the Diamondbacks at 7:35PM ET. Atlanta is –115 money line favorites versus Arizona, which is +105 on the ML. The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings between the two teams in Atlanta and 8-3 in the last 11 meetings overall. The D-Backs are just 2-5 in their last seven road games versus the Braves.
American League Central rivals will clash in Detroit tonight when the Tigers host the Indians at 7:05PM ET. Detroit is –135 money line favorites versus Cleveland, which is +125 on the ML. According to latest MLB trends, the Indians are 9-3 in their last 12 games against the Tigers but 7-19 in their last 26 road games versus Detroit.
Also in the AL, the red-hot Rangers will visit the White Sox at 8:10PM ET. Chicago is +105 money line underdogs versus visiting Texas, which is –115 on the ML. The under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings between these two teams and 6-2 in the last eight meetings in Chicago.
