Wednesday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Odds for Wednesday’s action on the diamond are out, including Game 1 of a two-game set between the Rockies and Phillies.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Phillies –140 money line favorites over the visiting Rockies, who are +130 on the ML. Game 1 of this series is set for 7:05PM ET tonight.
The Rockies have momentum after taking two of two games at home against the Giants on Monday and Tuesday. They were down late in both games and rallied for victories, including a 5-3 win on Tuesday in which Dexter Fowler came up with a huge knock in the eighth inning.
According to latest MLB trends, the under is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings between the Rockies and Phillies when the game is played in Philadelphia. Colorado is also 7-19 in its last 26 games against the Phillies and 0-4 in its last four trips to Philadelphia.
In other MLB action on Wednesday, one of baseball’s biggest rivalries is renewed when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the San Francisco Giants at 10:10PM ET. The Dodgers (-130) will send ace Clayton Kershaw to the hill against the Giants’ (+120) Matt Cain.
