Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers, the Twins are favored at home tonight, as Minnesota is getting odds of -110 to win. The Brewers are listed with a money line of +100 to prevail, while the over/under total has been set at 8.5 runs. The public betting for this game currently has 60 percent of the wagers going on Milwaukee on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our MLB Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.
Brewers having strong road trip
The Brewers improved to 6-2 on their current road trip following an 8-3 win at Minnesota on Friday night. Milwaukee is now 27-18 overall and 17-9 on the road. The Brewers average just 4.09 runs per game at the plate, but allow just 3.73 per game this season.
Freddy Peralta makes his second start of the season tonight. In his season debut, he went 5.2 innings at Colorado last week and had 13 strikeouts with two walks while not allowing a run and giving up just one hit.
Twins stumbling again
The Twins lost for the fourth time in five games with Friday’s loss to the Brewers. They have given up 15 runs over their last two games. The Twins are now 18-22 overall and 8-10 at home this season. Minnesota is putting up 4.25 runs per game this season while allowing 4.80 per contest.
Fernando Romero gets the start for the Twins tonight. He has started three games this season and is 2-0 with a 0.54 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. He has pitched just 16.2 innings in his three starts and has 20 strikeouts with nine walks.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers have won nine of their last 11 road games and they are 13-3 in their last 16 road games against a team with a losing home record.
Minnesota
The Twins have lost six of their last eight home games and four of their last five against a winning team. They also are 5-11 in their last 16 games following a loss.
Prediction:
Both teams have some nice young pitchers on the mound, but Peralta looked dominant in his short time on the mound. Of the 17 outs he recorded, 13 were by strikeout. I think he can rack up the strikeouts against Minnesota today as well. The Brewers have been locked in on this road trip and I will stick with them to get another road win today.
The Pick: Milwaukee Brewers +100
