Reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich hit two home runs Thursday afternoon as Milwaukee pounded host Philadelphia by a count of 11-3. Yelich finished the contest 3-for-5 with the two solo homers, a double and three runs. Ryan Braun went 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI. Mike Moustakas finished 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs. Yasmani Grandal finished 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and four RBIs. Zach Davies picked up the win as he gave up three earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts and one walk over six innings. Jhoulys Chacin starts tonight for the Brewers as he enters with a 3-4 record, 4.57 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 33 strikeouts over 45 1/3 innings.

Austin Riley finished 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Nick Markakis was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Ronald Acuna Jr. ended the contest 2-for-4 with a walk, a run and an RBI. Julio Teheran picked up the win as he threw five shutout innings with two hits allowed, four strikeouts and four walks. MLB Betting Trends
Milwakee
The Brewers are 6-1 in the last seven Chacin starts on Fridays. Milwaukee is 0-4 in the last four Chacin road starts.
Atlanta
The Braves are 5-1 in their last six games overall. Atlanta is 2-8 in its last 10 series openers.
Prediction:
Milwaukee is playing well and Yelich is back in top form as he showed yesterday. The Brewers are underdogs here because of the pitching matchup, but as long as Chacin can keep the visitors in the contest and turn the ball over to the bullpen in good position I like their chances. Milwaukee has the offense to support him and Fried might be overachieving some this season. Going with the dogs tonight.
