Miami Marlins DFS Spin
The Marlins haven’t decided whether to include Starling Marte (hand) on their roster for the NLDS. Marlins manager Don Mattingly said they’ll likely wait until the last minute before making a decision. Marte suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fifth metacarpal on his left hand when he was hit by a pitch in Game 1 of the Marlins’ Wild Card Series against the Cubs last Wednesday. Odds are he’ll have a diminished role even if he’s included on the roster.
Atlanta Braves DFS Spin
Max Fried will start Game 1 of the NLDS against the Marlins on Tuesday. That was the expectation already, but it’s now official. Fried tossed seven scoreless innings in his Game 1 start during the Wild Card Series against the Reds last Wednesday, so he’ll be pitching on normal rest. He’ll be followed by Ian Anderson in Game 2 on Wednesday and Kyle Wright in Game 3 on Thursday.
Marlins vs. Braves Game 1 Betting Prediction
The under is 12-3-2 in the last 17 meetings between these two teams in Atlanta and is 7-1 in the Marlins’ last eight playoff games. On the other side, the under is 5-2 in the Braves’ last seven playoff games when favored and is 7-3 in their last 10 games when facing an opponent with a winning record.
