Kyle Gibson threw eight shutout innings Friday night in a 2-0 home victory for Minnesota over Kansas City. He gave up two hits while striking out six and walking none. Taylor Rogers threw a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout for his seventh save. Mitch Garver broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the eighth inning with a two-run home run. MLB Betting Trends
Kansas City
The Royals are 20-46 in their last 66 games overall. Kansas City is 0-6 in its last six Saturday games.
Minnesota
The Twins are 10-2 in their last 12 Saturday games. Minnesota is 51-22 in its last 73 home games.
Prediction:
Have you SEEN Odorizzi’s numbers this season? My first thought is basically, good luck to the Royals because you’re going to need it. Anything can happen in baseball, but KC is on the road and Sparkman has a low strikeout rate against a team full of hitters having fantastic seasons. I’m going to side heavily with Minnesota tonight.
