Max Muncy is day-to-day with a left wrist contusion. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed late Thursday that X-rays came back negative on Muncy’s left wrist after he was hit by a pitch and removed from the club’s series finale against the Athletics. It sounds like he’s managed to avoid serious injury, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get a couple days off until the swelling subsides.

Miller is 6-2 with a 4.37 ERA on the season and has given up 27 runs in 36 2/3 innings over the course of his last seven starts. That’s bad enough for a 6.63 ERA, which is a drastic shift from the 0.78 mark that he posted in his first four starts. On the other side, Darvish is 4-5 with a 2.36 ERA versus the Dodgers but has had some issues this season (his ERA entering play tonight is 4.53). Despite Darvish shutting down an explosive Rangers offense in his last outing and even though he’s had success against L.A. in his career, I can’t pass up the Dodgers as an underdog.
