White Sox Season Odds
The Chicago White Sox hope to build on their 2008 playoff appearance as they head into the 2009 MLB Season.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBG Global have made the White Sox’s 35/1 long shots to win the 2009 World Series and established their American League Pennant odds at 15/1.
The Chi Sox have a nice mixture of young talent in Alexei Ramirez, Chris Getz and Josh Fields, as well as veteran bats in Carlos Quentin, Jim Thome and Jermaine Dye. The question is, can the youngsters produce right away? This club needs the young bats to come alive early and play well throughout the season.
The White Sox are a bit of a mystery entering the 2009 season but that doesn’t mean that they won’t compete. The Indians, Tigers, Royals and Twins all have their issues in the division and as long as the offense doesn’t hold them back, the starting pitching should be good enough to keep Chicago competitive all season.
