MLB Betting Trends
Chicago
The Cubs are 9-22 in their last 31 road games, but 6-2 in Lester’s last eight Sunday starts.
Cincinnati
The Reds are 5-1 in their last six home games, but just 3-10 in their last 13 Game 4’s of a series.
Prediction:
The Cubs just aren’t a good team away from Wrigley Field and they now have to face Cincinnati’s ace. Castillo has been pretty strong throughout the year, especially at home. He is 7-3 in Cincy with a 2.22 ERA. He also has a 2.95 ERA over three starts against the Cubs. Lester was just shelled by the Athletics at home and has given up 16 runs over his last nine innings on the mound. You just can’t trust the Cubs on the road and the pitching matchup certainly doesn’t favor them today.
MLB Prediction: Cincinnati Reds -130
