Fernando Tatis Jr. reached base twice and scored two runs in Wednesday’s loss to the Cardinals. Tatis walked to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored a run and he added another run in the third after a leadoff single. Unfortunately, he was unable to come up with a key hit later in the game, striking one while representing the go-ahead run in the sixth and grounding out in the eighth while again representing the go-ahead tally. In both instances his outs ended the inning.

Despite winning last night as a postseason dog, the Cardinals are still just 2-9 in their last 11 playoff games as an underdog, are 1-4 in their last five postseason games overall and have dropped four of their last five games coming off a win.
