Ronald Acuna drew two walks, stole a base, and scored two runs in the Braves’ NLDS Game 3 win over the Marlins on Thursday. Acuna did his usual spark plug thing with a leadoff walk and steal of second base in the top of the third inning, kicking off a four-run frame for the Braves. They went on to win 7-0 and will now face either the Dodgers or Padres in the best-of-seven NLCS. Acuna also swiped a bag in the Wild Card Series versus the Reds and is the first Braves player with multiple stolen bases in a single postseason since Rafael Furcal had three in 2005.
Los Angeles Dodgers DFS Spin
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that while Edwin Rios (groin) has improved, no decision has been made yet as to his availability for the NLCS against the Braves beginning on Monday. Rios was held off of the Dodgers roster for the NLDS due to a groin strain that he suffered while taking infield practice during a team workout. He still has another day or two to show he’s healthy enough to make the roster. The 26-year-old posted a .946 OPS for the Dodgers in 2020 and would be a nice option to have off of the bench against the Braves.
