Boston Red Sox Fantasy Spin
Xander Bogaerts went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and delivered a go-ahead home run in a 7-6 victory over the Rangers on Thursday. The Red Sox fell behind 6-1 in the first two innings and then went on a home run barrage to power their way back in front. They hit a total of five balls over the fence in the contest. Bogaerts’ solo bomb off Peter Fairbanks gave the Red Sox the lead in the seventh inning. He has been highly productive at the plate again this year, slashing .295/.379/.531 with 14 home runs, 44 RBI and 53 runs scored in 67 games.
Baltimore Orioles Fantasy Spin
Anthony Santander went 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs during Thursday’s loss to the Blue Jays. He laced a single to right that plated Richie Martin in the third inning, then beat out an infield single that drove in Chris Davis in the fifth. The 24-year-old outfielder was called up from the minors a week ago and has been an everyday fixture in the starting lineup since then. He is 10-for-26 over that span. His minor league track record does not give much reason to believe he is a star in the making, but fantasy owners should feel free to roll with him while he is hot.
MLB Betting Trends
