The Royals (95-67) were the AL Central champions this season while the Astros (86-76) were the second Wild Card team and earned a 3-0 win over the Yankees on Tuesday to get into this series. The Astros have Collin McHugh (19-7, 3.89 ERA) taking the mound to face Yordano Ventura (13-8, 4.08 ERA) of the Royals. According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, the Royals are favored in tonight’s game, as they are getting odds of -135 to win, while the Astros are getting a money line of +125 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs.
These two teams met six times during the season and the Astros were 4-2 against the Royals. The home team went 5-1 in the six games and the two were 4-1-1 with the under. Ventura had one start against the Astros this year and he went seven innings in a 5-1 win for KC on July 26 at Houston. McHugh has not gotten a start against the Royals this season.
