Monday MLB Playoff Odds
(The Spread) – The 2011 MLB Playoffs continue on Monday as the Rangers and Tigers look to build off of victories in Game 2 of their respective series.
The action gets started tonight with the Rays hosting the Rangers in Game 3 of the ALDS. Oddsmakers have installed Tampa Bay as a -133 money line favorite as David Price will take the hill against the Rangers’ Colby Lewis. Texas is currently +125 on the ML.
According to latest MLB trends, the Rays are 6-1 in their lat seven games overall and 10-2 in their lat 12 games as a favorite of -110 to -150. The Rangers, meanwhile, are 7-1 in their last eight road games and 5-1 in their last six games following a win.
In the late game, the Detroit Tigers host the New York Yankees at 8:35PM ET. In what was supposed to be a Game 1 matchup but was suspended due to rain, CC Sabathia will take on Justin Verlander in this contest. The Yankees are +120 money line underdogs against the Tigers, who are -127 money line favorites.
The Yankees are just 1-4 in their last five road games against the Tigers and 1-4 in their last five meetings overall. The Tigers, however, are just 1-4 in their last five games when Verlander faces Sabathia and 0-4 in Verlander’s last four starts against New York.
