Updated AL Pennant Odds
The battle for the AL Pennant features a number of great teams. Here is a look at the odds to win the ALCS as the playoffs begin this week.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cleveland Indians are favored, as the Tribe is getting +175 odds. Other odds to win are the Houston Astros (+225), the Boston Red Sox (+350), the New York Yankees (+600) and the Minnesota Twins (+1200).

The Indians are the top seed in the AL thanks to a 102-60 record this season. Cleveland scored 818 runs this year while allowing just 564. The Tribe went on a 22-game win streak over the last month and come in as the defending ALCS champs. Cleveland has won the AL Pennant six times.
Houston is the No. 2 seed in the AL after winning the AL West with a 101-61 record. The Astros scored 896 runs this season while allowing 700. The Astros have never won the ALCS in franchise history.
Boston is the third seed in the AL. The Red Sox went 93-69 to win the AL East by a few games. Boston has scored 785 runs this year while allowing 668. The Red Sox have won the AL Pennant 13 times, last doing so in 2013.
The Yankees will host the AL Wild Card Game against the Twins. New York was 91-71 this season after posting a +198 run differential while the Twins were 85-77 overall with a +27 run differential. New York has won the ALCS 40 times, last doing so in 2009. The Twins have won the ALCS six times, last doing so in 1991.
