Cincinnati Reds DFS Spin
Trevor Bauer struck out 12 batters over 7 2/3 scoreless innings in the Reds’ Wild Card Series Game 1 loss to the Braves on Wednesday. Bauer peppered in breaking pitches with great command throughout the afternoon while setting a new Reds franchise record for most strikeouts in a postseason start. Unfortunately, the Cincinnati offense wasted opportunity after opportunity, allowing the Braves to claim a 1-0 walkoff win in the bottom of the 13th inning. The loss went to reliever Archie Bradley, who gave up a pair of hits before Amir Garrett came on and surrendered the game-ending RBI single to Freddie Freeman.
Atlanta Braves DFS Spin
Marcell Ozuna finished 0-for-5 with three strikeouts Wednesday in the Braves’ Wild Card Series Game 1 win over the Reds. Ozuna put together a terrific 2020 regular season that should be worthy of National League MVP votes, but his bat suddenly went quiet in Wednesday’s opener. To be fair, he wasn’t the only hitter who struggled to get anything going in this one, as the two teams combined for 37 strikeouts across 13 innings.
Reds vs. Braves Game 2 Betting Prediction
Following their 1-0 victory over the Reds yesterday, the Braves are now 9-0 in their last nine games when playing an opponent with a winning record. They’re also 20-6 in their last 26 games when their opponent allowed two runs or fewer in its previous game and 50-21 in their last 71 games when favored at home. Meanwhile, the Reds are 0-5 in their last five postseason games and are just 4-14 in its last 18 games when its opponent scored two runs or less in its previous contest. Adios, Reds.
