Dodgers win sixth straight
Los Angeles secured a 2-0 victory at San Francisco Saturday afternoon to improve to 105-56 overall and 46-34 on the road. Max Muncy helped lead the Dodgers offense as he finished 2-for-3 with a solo home run. Gavin Lux was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Cody Bellinger went 1-for-3 with a double. Hyun-Jin Ryu picked up the win as he threw seven shutout innings with five hits allowed, seven strikeouts and no walks. Kenley Jansen recorded the save as he gave up one hit with three strikeouts and no walks in a scoreless frame. San Francisco lost 2-0 at home Saturday afternoon to drop to 77-84 overall and 35-45 at home. Brandon Belt helped lead the Giants offense as he went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit single. Joey Rickard finished 1-for-2. Mauricio Dubon, Buster Posey, Kevin Pillar and Jaylin Davis were all 1-for-4. MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are 6-0 in their last six road games. Los Angeles is 43-16 in its last 59 Sunday games.
San Francisco
The Giants are 9-4 in their last 13 Sunday games. San Francisco is 1-12 in the last 13 Rodriguez home starts.
Prediction:
Hill will be on a pitch count here as he hasn’t thrown more than 35 pitches in an outing since mid-June. But with LA having a decent enough bullpen and a deep roster that will allow it to rest guys today, I think they get after Rodriguez and limit what the offense-strapped Giants can produce. Go with the Dodgers here as they continue their stellar play into the postseason.
