Tyler Flowers provided the offense as he finished 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Matt Joyce was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Ozzie Albies ended the contest 2-for-5. Dallas Keuchel picked up the win as he gave up one earned run on three hits with eight strikeouts and three walks over six innings. Philadelphia fell by a score of 3-1 at home Wednesday night to drop to 75-70 overall and 42-33 at home. Bryce Harper paced the Phillies as he went 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored. Zach Eflin took the loss as he gave up three unearned runs on three hits with five strikeouts and three walks over 3 2/3 innings. MLB Betting Trends
Atlanta
The Braves are 58-27 in their last 85 games overall. Atlanta is 16-7 in the last 23 Teheran starts.
Philadelphia
The Phillies are 5-1 in the last six Smyly starts. Philadelphia is 7-3 in its last 10 games following a loss.
Prediction:
While the Braves are basically a lock to make the playoffs, the Phillies’ chances are only at 3.6 percent. Needless to say, they need a win here. Smyly has rough overall numbers, but he’s definitely pitched better with the Phillies than the Rangers. Teheran has had a pretty good season, but I like the plus money on the hosts. Take Philly on getaway day for the Braves.
