Rockies drop sixth straight

Colorado fell 6-2 at home Sunday afternoon versus Pittsburgh as it was swept in the series and lost for a sixth straight time. Nolan Arenado paced the Rockies offense as he ended the game 1-for-3 with a solo home run plus a walk. Tony Wolters was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Ryan McMahon ended the game 1-for-4 with a run scored. Jeff Hoffman took the loss as he allowed two earned runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and one walk over five innings. Peter Lambert starts tonight for Colorado as he enters with a 2-5 record, 6.63 ERA and 1.63 WHIP plus 48 strikeouts over 94 2/3 innings.

Dodgers avoid sweep

Los Angeles edged host Arizona Sunday afternoon by a score of 4-3 in 11 innings to salvage a game in the four-game series. Joc Pederson hit a go-ahead pinch-hit solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to provide the difference. Russell Martin finished 2-for-4 with a solo homer to contribute to the Dodgers' offensive effort. Cody Bellinger was 2-for-5 with a solo home run. David Freese ended the contest 1-for-2 with a solo homer. Casey Sadler picked up the win in relief as he allowed one hit with one strikeout and one walk over one inning. Pedro Baez notched the save as he struck out one in a perfect inning of work. Walker Buehler takes the mound tonight as he comes in with an 11-3 record, 3.03 ERA and 1.02 WHIP plus 185 strikeouts over 154 1/3 innings of work.

MLB Betting Trends

The Rockies are 17-37 in their last 54 road games. Colorado is 2-11 in the last 13 Lambert starts.

Los Angeles

The Dodgers are 2-5 in their last seven Monday games. Los Angeles is 5-0 in the last five Buehler starts versus the Rockies.

Los Angeles has dominated all season at home and Colorado is in a big rut currently with a poor rookie pitcher on the mound. Good luck against Buehler, Rockies. You're going to need it. I'm betting on LA with the runline.
