McNeil has perfect night at plate
Mets third baseman Jeff McNeil finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, two runs and an RBI in Tuesday's 6-3 win over San Francisco. Wilmer Flores was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs. Michael Conforto went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs. Corey Oswalt picked up the win in relief as he gave up one hit and struck out one over three innings of work.
Longoria homers in loss
San Francisco third baseman Evan Longoria was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs yesterday in the defeat at New York. Austin Slater finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Tony Watson suffered the loss in relief as he surrendered four earned runs on three hits with one strikeout and one walk in an inning of work.
MLB Betting Trends
The under is 7-2-1 in the last 10 Giants games overall. The under is 19-7-2 in the last 28 San Francisco road games.
The Mets are 13-27 in their last 40 home games. The under is 6-2 in the last eight Syndergaard home starts.
Even with Syndergaard on the mound, I struggle to ever pull the trigger on New York as such a big favorite. Kelly should give the Mets some solid frames before turning it over to the bullpen. I'll take a chance on the plus money here with the Giants.
