Arenado smacked his 372-foot shot off of Josh Staumont in the seventh inning, extending the Cardinals lead to 6-1. He then put the icing on the cake with a two-run double off of Greg Holland in the ninth to make it 9-1 game. He finished the night 2-for-4 plus a walk and is now hitting .264/.324/.509 with 24 long balls and 73 RBI in his first season away from Coors Field.

Michael Taylor went 3-for-4 and drove in a run in Saturday night’s loss to the Cardinals. Taylor drove in Andrew Benintendi with a run-scoring single off of Jon Lester in the fourth inning, giving the Royals a 1-0 lead. All three of Taylor’s hits in the contest were singles.
