From Rotoworld: Morton gave up four earned runs over 6 2/3 innings Wednesday in a loss to the Mariners. Morton was perfect for the first three innings, but Ben Gamel launched a two-run homer in the top of the fourth and Seattle added on two more runs between the sixth and seventh. Morton allowed six total hits, though he walked none and struck out five and he did work into the top of the seventh inning. The right-hander has surrendered 10 runs in 17 2/3 innings since returning from the disabled list July 7.
Pivetta allowed three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings Wednesday in a win over the Marlins. Pivetta gave up solo homers to Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich, and Yelich scored in the bottom of the third when the Phillies right-hander uncorked a wild pitch. But the Philadelphia offense provided 10 runs of support on a whopping 20 hits in the afternoon victory. Pivetta stands 3-5 with a 5.45 ERA through his first 13 major league starts.
