From Rotoworld: Castillo surrendered four runs in six innings and struck out seven Thursday in a loss to the Diamondbacks. The first inning started with a walk, a double and a three-run homer from Jake Lamb. Castillo was pretty great the rest of the way, allowing no more walks and just two more hits, but the damage was already done.
Montgomery was pelted for six earned runs over six innings Wednesday in a loss to the Twins. Minnesota scored all six of those runs in the bottom of the second inning, with Zack Granite and Eduardo Escobar each contributing run-scoring singles and Miguel Sano launching a three-run bomb. Montgomery settled in from there, but his season ERA climbed above 4.00 for the first time since May. He’ll get the Reds at home next week.
