O's homer twice in loss
Baltimore fell by a score of 6-3 at Arizona Monday night to drop to 31-68 overall and 16-32 on the road. Renato Nunez helped lead the Orioles offensively as he finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Hanser Alberto went 3-for-4 with a solo homer. Richie Martin ended the game 2-for-3 with an RBI. Aaron Brooks suffered the loss as he allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits over 3 2/3 innings, striking out one and walking one. Dylan Bundy draws the start tonight as he enters with a 4-11 record, 5.26 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with 97 strikeouts over 92 innings.
Escobar leads D-Backs to win
Arizona posted a 6-3 home win over Baltimore Monday night to improve to 51-50 overall and 22-25 at home. Eduardo Escobar helped pace the Diamondbacks offense as he ended the contest 2-for-4 with two triples, a walk, a stolen base, two runs scored and an RBI. Adam Jones finished 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Ketel Marte went 2-for-4 and scored a run. Robbie Ray picked up the win as he allowed three earned runs on eight hits with 10 strikeouts and one walk over six innings pitched. Greg Holland earned the save as he gave up one hit with two strikeouts over one scoreless inning of work. Merrill Kelly gets the start tonight as he comes in with a 7-9 record, 3.77 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 92 strikeouts over 117 innings.
MLB Betting Trends
The Orioles are 18-46 in their last 64 games overall. Baltimore is 37-107 in its last 144 road games.
The Diamondbacks are 1-9 in their last 10 Tuesday games. Arizona is 0-4 in the last four Kelly starts.
Kelly is coming off a very good home start against Milwaukee and while he has occasionally had a less than desirable start, he's mostly been good the last two months. The same can't be said for Bundy, who is always difficult to trust. The Orioles rarely win on the road and I wouldn't call this a good spot to take a risk on them.
