MLB Betting Trends
Boston
The Red Sox are 4-1 in their last five games following a loss and 5-1 in Porcello’s last six road starts.
Baltimore
The Orioles are 15-38 in their last 53 home games and 29-70 in their last 99 division games.
Prediction:
Porcello has hit a big rough patch. He has allowed 21 runs over his last four starts, just 18 innings of work. Three of those starts were against weak lineups like the Blue Jays and Tigers. Eshelman doesn’t have great numbers, giving up six runs over two starts, but he has been competitive. Boston is flirting with the .500 mark a little too much. They aren’t the dominant team that oddsmakers are making them and it showed last night when they got rocked by Baltimore with a good pitcher on the mound. Today, they have a shaky pitcher on the mound on the road and are being given far too great of odds.
MLB Prediction: Baltimore Orioles +190
