From Rotoworld: Jimenez limited the Cardinals to two runs over seven innings Sunday for his second win. Jimenez had spent all of June in the Orioles’ bullpen, but he traded spots with Alec Asher for Sunday’s series finale against the visiting Cardinals and looked pretty sharp in the 8-5 win. Jimenez still isn’t a trustworthy fantasy streamer. He stands 2-2 on the season with a 6.25 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.
Archer allowed two runs in six innings and came away with a 3-2 win over the Tigers on Saturday. He punched out eight batters and walked just one. He gave up six hits, including a solo home run by Miguel Cabrera. Archer held the Tigers scoreless through four innings before allowing single runs in the fifth and sixth. He gets over the .500 mark at 5-4 with a 3.75 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. His 122 strikeouts in 98 1/3 innings give him a career-high 11.17 K/9.
Bet Tonight’s Orioles vs. Rays Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Orioles are still scuffling. They’re 6-20 in their last 26 road games and 4-11 in their last 15 games overall. They’re surprisingly 11-4 in Jimenez’s last 15 starts and 5-2 in his last seven road outings, but the Rays are 4-1 in Archer’s last five starts as well. Tampa has also won four of its last five games overall, is 7-2 in its last nine home games, and is 7-1 in its last eight home games versus a right-handed starter.
