Dodgers vs. Reds Prediction
Can the Reds snap their losing streak with an upset win over the Dodgers today at 4:10PM ET in Cincinnati?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Reds are +140 money line underdogs to pull off the upset at home today against the Dodgers (-160). With Hyun-Jin Ryu set to face Asher Wojciechowski in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 10.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Ryu surrendered four runs in seven innings Monday in a loss to the Nationals. It seemed like Ryu wanted to show the Dodgers that he could work deep into games tonight, and he was able to do that, though he might have managed to cut a run or two off that total if he wasn’t attacking the plate quite so vigorously. He ended up allowing seven hits, walking none and striking out four tonight. 78 of his 102 pitches were strikes. Ryu is expected to remain in the rotation for now and face the Reds this weekend.
Wojciechowski allowed four earned runs, six hits and no walks with one strikeout over five innings in a no-decision Saturday at L.A. Dodgers. Wojciechowski threw 60 of his 81 pitches for strikes. He has managed two no-decisions with an 8.00 ERA in two road starts. The good news is he hasn’t walked any batters in the two road assignments, but the bad news is he has served up four home runs.
Bet Today’s Dodgers vs. Reds Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Dodgers are winless in Ryu’s last seven road starts, are just 3-10 in his last 13 outings overall, and are 1-6 in his last seven starts after allowing two runs or less in their previous game. The Reds are 4-1 in their last five home games and their streak has to come to an end at some point. I actually believe the pitching matchup favors Cincinnati, so why not roll the dice on a team that’s due for a win playing at home.
