Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin
Ketel Marte went 2-for-4 with two homers on Saturday to help the Diamondbacks to a 10-3 victory over the Nationals. Marte took Stephen Strasburg deep twice, once in the first inning and again in the fourth. This now gives Marte 19 homers on the season, and if you expected this power display from the 25-year-old, you either have time-traveling abilities or are lying. Marte improves his line to .280/.333/.549 with 49 RBI and three steals over 70 games. The question is whether he can keep this up, but he sure has looked the part over these first few months.
Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with a triple on Saturday in a blowout loss to the Diamondbacks. Turner’s triple is the third of the season — and 20th extra-base hit — in just 31 games for the shortstop. After a disappointing May, Turner now has a 1.006 OPS in the month of June, and he’s improved his slash to .298/.348/.550. Even in a relatively small sample size of 122 at-bats, you can’t help but be impressed with what Turner has done with the bat; especially since he returned from the injured list with his fractured finger
MLB Betting Trends
Arizona
The Diamondbacks are 8-2 in their last 10 games overall and are 7-2 in their last nine games versus a right-handed starter.
Washington
The Nationals have won four straight games that Anibal Sanchez has started and are 4-1 in his last five home starts.
Prediction:
The Diamondbacks have swung hot bats of late, cashing the over in five of their last seven games. The over is also 23-7-3 in Archie Bradley’s last 33 starts and is 11-1-1 in his last 13 outings when their opponent allowed five runs or more in its previous contest. On the other side, the over cashed in five of the Nationals’ last five games overall and is 17-8-1 in their last 26 home games when facing an opponent with a winning record.
The Pick: Diamondbacks/Nationals OVER 10
