MLB Betting Trends
Pittsburgh
The Pirates are just 3-10 in their last 13 against a winning team and 1-4 in their last five games following a loss.
Atlanta
The Braves are 6-2 in their last eight against a team with a losing record and 5-2 in their last seven series openers.
Prediction:
Musgrove has been pretty rocky over the last month, as he has allowed at least three runs in six of his last seven starts. Gausman hasn’t been much better, giving up 15 runs in his last six innings. That includes seven against the Pirates in Pittsburgh on June 5. Still, Pittsburgh is the road team tonight and we saw they had in Milwaukee. Atlanta is returning home and the Braves have been hitting relatively well over their last eight games. I think they could overcome some poor pitching, but I think the pitching will be better than the number may indicate.
MLB Prediction: Atlanta Braves -150
