Indians’ win streak snapped
The Indians had their 6-game win streak come to an end on Friday in a 7-4 loss to the Twins. Cleveland is now 30-26 overall and 12-15 on the road. The Tribe are averaging 5.09 runs per game this season while allowing 4.57 per contest.
Trevor Bauer takes the mound for the Indians on Saturday. He is 4-3 through 11 starts with a 2.61 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP. Bauer has pitched a total of 72.1 innings this season and has 86 strikeouts with 25 walks.
Twins end losing skid
The Twins managed to pick up a 7-4 win on Friday to end their three-game losing streak. Still, Minnesota has won just two of their last nine games. Minnesota is now 23-30 overall and 12-13 at home. The Twins are putting up 4.25 runs per game this season while allowing 4.60 per contest.
Lance Lynn takes the mound for the Twins on Saturday. Lynn has started 10 games this season and has a 5.94 ERA with a 1.82 WHIP. Lynn has pitched a total of 50.0 innings and has 50 strikeouts with 33 walks.
MLB Betting Trends
Cleveland
The Indians have won five of Bauer’s last seven starts and they are 12-4 in their last 16 Saturday games.
Minnesota
The Twins have won four of Lynn’s last five starts. However, they are just 1-4 in their last five against a winning team.
Prediction:
Minnesota was able to ride Berrios to a victory on Friday. While Lynn has been able to improve on recent starts, I don’t think he can pitch better than Bauer. Cleveland should be able to bounce back behind Bauer’s pitching today. He will shut down the Twins while the Indians pitching gets to Lynn.
The Pick: Cleveland Indians -150
